Fine Dining On Pleasure Island

Housed in the old Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church, The Deck House opened in 1998, a sister restaurant to local favorite, the former Market Street Casual Dining. The church was built in 1946 and is a Carolina Beach landmark. The Deck House has established itself as favorite of local residents.
Serving a local-themed menu, the Deck House is all about expertly prepared American cuisine with a mix of seafood entrees, steaks and pasta dishes. Starting with a selection of delicious appetizers, the Deck House prides itself on serving some of the best seafood available on Pleasure Island.
Visitors to the island return annually to this seasonal favorite. Whether its a romantic date night or a family dinner, you’ll appreciate the food quality and service that you would expect in larger cities.
The Bar and Cocktail lounge is a cozy and comfortable gathering place where you can enjoy expertly mixed beverages, beer and wine. Many folks opt to stay and dine at the bar for dinner, appetizers or dessert.

“We saw this restaurant while having breakfast nearby and I loved the old church turned into a restaurant, so I looked it up on Yelp and it had good ratings. Well we had dinner here on our last night at the beach and it was delicious. We both had the crab legs—so flaky. My husband had the Grouper Chowder and it was wonderful. my Caeser salad was delicious. Definitely we’ll  be back to eat again.” —Florence B.
“A pretty good spot to eat. First of all it seems like an old church that was converted into a restaurant, which I thought was pretty cool. The food was awesome. We started with the crab dip and then I got the stuffed flounder with lobster sauce which was like a bisque covering this amazing fish stuffed with shrimp and crab meat. The prices were affordable and they definitely can accommodate larger parties, as we had 10 dining at our table. I definitely suggest The Deck House if you enjoy seafood.” —Kyle M.
